Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Hermia... a solid black shorthair who is sweet, shy, and oh-so-gentle. She is happy to play if given the opportunity, but typically lets the other kittens dominate during playtime. Her foster parents often separate her from the rest so she can relax and frolic like the happy little kitty she is. Depending on the light, her gorgeous eyes range from honey to bright gold and contrast beautifully with her dark fur.

That said, Hermia loves to snuggle with her siblings (Helena, Demetrius, Lysander, and Snug) and enjoys gentle affection from her foster parents. Her ideal forever home would include a companion animal and possibly older children (or considerate young ones).

Hermia and her siblings were rescued from the streets by a kind family who ended up with an overabundance of cats and kittens. The family contacted Viva Los Gatos in hopes of getting some help finding homes for several litters of kittens born this year. All the kittens arrived with runny eyes and noses, and are receiving regular care to clear this condition that is common in stray kitties. 

Hermia will be available for adoption in early November. By that time, she will be spayed and current on vaccinations. Hermia has tested negative for both FIV (Feline AIDS) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia), and been dewormed and treated for fleas. She was born with an umbilical hernia, which will also be fully corrected when she is spayed. Consider sharing your love with this shy little sweetie and one of her siblings!
